I enjoy working with all age groups, but I particularly enjoy working with adolescents. I am passionate about working with clients who deal with anxiety, depression, and OCD. I also enjoy working with clients who are neurodivergent and clients who struggle with trauma. In my spare time, you can find me at a baseball game or finding a new camping spot.

Hi, my name is Michelle, and I am a graduate student at Aurora University. I will graduate with my master’s in social work in August of 2025. I will then work towards receiving my LCSW to continue to grow and provide the best care for my clients.

I have years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from my previous internships and occupations. I have a passion for working with adolescents and adults and the LQBTQ+ community. In therapeutic practice, I take a person-centered approach using a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, and I have training in the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study.

I am enthusiastic in continuing to learn therapy approaches to best fit my client. I have a passion for collaborating with clients who may be experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem Issues, Stress, School Issues, and Grief. A little about me – in my spare time, I enjoy cooking, cleaning, reading, watching Netflix, and being at home with my two cats.

Hi! My name is Katie Kalina, a licensed independent clinician with over 6 years of experience. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and healed, and that as your therapist, it’s my job to meet you exactly where you’re at. One of my specialties is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Eye movement (or other bilateral stimulation) is used to work on one memory at a time for the mind to heal.

I have worked with individuals and groups of all ages, from children to teens and adults through anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, body image issues, relationship issues, and anger management.

As your therapist, I will make it my mission to make you feel at home in our sessions. Once we meet, I will help you set goals and devise a plan that will make you transform in the ways that you wish to. Looking forward to completing this journey with you and bringing you ongoing success.
