Hi my name is Makenzie. I am pursuing my Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky. I have experience working with the senior population as well as adults and families. I like to take a client centered approach using the strengths based practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution focused Therapy. I have a strong passion for helping those with depression and anxiety, going through different life transitions. I have a passion for getting rid of the mental health stigma. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, utilizing a person-centered, strengths-based approach to promote wellness through human connection. My goal is to create a safe and therapeutic environment tailored to each individual’s needs. By utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches, I meet clients where they are and support them on their journey of personal growth. I am passionate about breaking the negative stigma associated with mental health while providing meaningful support.
